Ehhh, not so sure of that. Gaddafi was no saint and was known from the time I was little (in the 1970’s) to be a brutal military leader.

I recall when this came out, it had shit in it that went far beyond what many believed he’d done.

    I get it: AmeriKKKa = bad…

However… there are plenty of leaders and governments just as bad in their own ways.

Okay so I’m not sure what you’re even talking about here. If your point is that internal repression is in any way comparable to armed conflict, then yeah no that’s just nonsense. I’m not defending Gaddafi here, but almost literally anything else would’ve been better than what Libya has right now. Unless you have a source that Gaddafi was somehow deadlier than the civil wars that took place after his NATO-backed overthrow, in which case go ahead.

Ah, yeah… you’re correct. contextually, that you were referencing the civil war and the total numbers of dead, then yeah. (this was not made clear) The shitstorms thrown up since Gaddafi took power decades ago, then was overthrown - in toto, are huge. No argument on that.

      Gaddafi was no saint

Bit of an understatement. You generally don’t die by deserved bayonet sodomy for not reaching sainthood
