The “UK” wants a ferry to Norway based on … “Ferrygogo’s 2026 UK ferry travel survey, completed by 197 ferry-interested travellers”.
Let me dream about taking the ferry to Britain again.
You and 112 survey respondents … that’s going to be a very small ferry.
Either that, or a lot of room for us to roam, either way I’m fine with it.
Meanwhile 197 furry-interested travellers is a lot. It’s just a matter of perspective.
I mean, as an ferry-interested traveller I really want those awesome Hovercrafts back. They were quite the spectacle and interesting to ride. That doesn’t mean that a Hovercraft service would make sense.
AFAIK those ferries were struggling already before Brexit, I don’t think there’s a business case for ever bringing them back after Brexit.
Good thing brexit isn’t permanent then. I hope.
But if we start taxing jet-fuel then perhaps it’ll be more economically viable to travel by ship again.
