I dont think we have demonstrated enough that we dont want to die.
And by demonstration i dont mean politely asking anymore (standing around in a group holding signs and maybe chanting something). Or maybe we just secretly truly want to die, since only smallest fraction of the population cares to attend even the rallies…
People in power should have to deal with unrest related to this all day every day, that is the only way they will do anything about it. Or maybe they will start cracking down on people without doing anything to the climate, but that would just prove that they truly want us dead.
Peacefully asking for change is a mistake if it doesnt work after couple of tries. Or at least those in power should be made to respect those who ask nicely first, but that doesnt come by asking nicely either.
