We had a superhero in my town who was, I’m pretty sure, also the serial killer he was hunting. The serial killer hunting in my neighborhood. Months worth of entertainment.

Be careful with the crackpots and wingnuts, some of them are crazy.

        Well that’s certainly different.

But when I say I like the stories, I’m not saying that I associate with vigilantes. I’m just saying the stories are interesting and I enjoy reading them.

Man, I have seen you a lot recently. You’re obnoxious! If anyone says anything, you come flying in purposefully misconstruing what they said to act like they said they support something evil. Either you’re a troll, or you’re as good as one. If you don’t want to become known as a troll, I suggest you chill the fuck out. No one meant like the KKK, and you know that.

Not a troll. I recommend reading Emma Goldman. Vigilantes have been bad news forever.

It’s only recently society idealized them, forgetting their true nature.

They’ve often been bad, but they haven’t exclusively been bad.

Anyway, what do you do when the justice system fails to protect the people, and only protects the wealthy and oppresses the people?

Isn’t revolution a form of vigilantism?

To use your own argument, wasn’t the KKK trying to cause a revolution?

No, revolution is not a form of vigilantism.

Revolution is when you replace the government.

That doesn’t make it not vigilantism. Vigilantism is when you use force to enforce your values without the backing of the law. That’s what a revolution is too.
