What a coincidence, I also cancelled Netflix this year, after over 10+ years with them.
Same, 17 year subscriber tho, top tier or 4k plan since it was first available
Join the party. I think their algorithm finally figured out I wouldn’t watch slop long before AI and so I rarely ever got suggested any of their new releases. It would just show the same suggestions over and over with one new show or movie every couple months.
I went to Apple TV and haven’t been able to keep up with their new shows. I’m sure it’ll be garbage eventually and I’ll drop it when the quality drops.
As soon as I finish Avatar I am canceling as well.
Yarr
I’ll continue to use free sources like the public library. Fuck Netflix.
Yes! The Kanopy app with your library card is great. There’s usually a lot of free stuff you get with your library card. Search your library name and “digital resources”
The “quality” of the content should have been a clue here.
Vote with your wallet. So far *no one *is. It’s maddening.
(Yes, I know, you did. If you’re about to comment that you did you aren’t the intended audience of this comment.)
Maybe “no one” isn’t the correct way to phrase it if you have to immediately follow up with a canned response for the many people who fall into that category.
That’s dope that artists can flesh out their worlds better and make higher quality content for less money. I think the viewers will benefit if the creativity and direction remains human as it is now
