Edit: with added context, ew, I rescind my self deprecating joke. i don’t hate myself enough to compare myself to that

This ain’t funny. This guy runs a network of borderline illegal social media accounts. I’ve posted about him on Reddit before and have encountered him here. You can find traces of him all over the internet see this

No. The guy posts AI cannibalism fetish material about eating kids. That’s as far as anyone needs to go into this.

It’s not just that. From what I can see:

He posts a lot of pics of boys wearing dresses. He makes AI images of boy actors from obscure tv shows in ballerina or princess dresses and claims that they are ‘deleted scenes’ that he witnessed, apparently he was actor or something, which is clearly bullshit nonsense. And yeah, there’s cannibalistic content and gore, like girl’s heads cooking in pans and things. It’s all really odd and disgusting. Someone on Reddit once theorised that either he’s a sick perv, or a really stupid troll. Idk what I think.

He posts pics of kids doing/wearing weird stuff on Pinterest, BlueSky, medium etc. I’m not going into any deeper detail that that, not publicly anyway. He links all his accounts together so you can basically find everything he posts

And he fabricates all these stories like ‘my son did this and that’ but all these pics allegedly of him look AI made

So, while this user (and their many reincarnations) has really impacted my enjoyment of Lemmy over the last couple of weeks, they do highlight one of the larger shortcomings of the platform. There’s nothing stopping an unstable, disturbed, bored person from grinding through accounts. A problem on any platform, for sure. Though folks like this do seem to filter out in the noise of larger projects.

I don’t have a solution for this. But I’m nearly to the point of tearing down my own instance.

Yeah, that tracks. Without fed-wide IP blacklists or something, I suppose it’s really easy to just instance hop and be a dick. Or spin up your own and be a dick.

Allow me… To create a frontend framework that just hides content you don’t want to see… Maybe even a feature that hides users too… I’ll add in some keywords…

        Ooh let’s call it Penteract!

…federating block-lists is actually an interesting idea. Instances already federate posts, comments, communities, and users. An instance could publish a public block-list, and admins of other instances could “subscribe” to block-lists across the fediverse that they trust, reducing some of the redundant labor of each instance’s admins maintaining their own separate block-lists. It’s kind of a similar idea to ublock origin’s various filter lists.

So I just looked through the mod log. If I remember right, every one of these were the among the things he was posting, pretty sure he posted a lot more though. Can anyone corroborate this?

Any reason for a given individual to not block him? I came aware of him last week. Tried not blocking. Decided blocking was more helpful.
