I know a couple whose single parents got together and theyre perfect for each other. Threw me for a loop at first but hey, everyone’s happy.

Honestly, this makes more sense to me than anything else. If their adult children like each other, the apple wouldn’t have fallen far from the tree.

So without getting into a huge debate about nature and nurture since both are at play and helping both couples out, I want to talk about my uncle Spud.

We were at a family reunion, and suddenly my mother noticed how I was standing with the exact same posture and pose as Spud and my cool brother. Spud didn’t get as much time with Grumpa as he should have growing up, you know divorce. Anyways all three us guys and my mother and my cool sister were all standing there with our hands on our hips with a bit of a hunch in our necks because that’s the spine Grumpa gave us. The only person at the reunion who was around Grumpa enough to really start to learn his posture (besides Gran) was my mother, yet there we were.

Honestly some of the things you can unwittingly inherit are surprising. I bet the parents saw their kids and thought “well of course they’re in love, they’re little 'Us’es”
