Has anyone tried this out yet? I’m running it on my trusty ThinkPad and as a Void Linux user, it makes many things just a little easier. It’s very quick. It’s also relatively secure by default and has a control center for enabling more security as well as other optimizations. I know we all like to tailor our DEs and WMs to our tastes and workflows but the defualts here are definitely my cup of tea. It offers KDE as the default but XFCE, Niri, MangoWC, and Hyprland are all options as well. It’s small team working on development and a small community so far but I am hoping that grows.

Yikes, I would not recommend based on reading that what feels like generated by LLM website…I’d honestly just use actual Void Linux, as they thankfully don’t like LLM Slop like the person behind this Odyssey Linux does.

I get the feeling they probably just vibe-code and there are going to be issues that normal Void Linux wouldn’t have in Odyssey Linux. I hope Odyssey dies fast, before the good name of Void Linux is besmirched!

if you read the “faq’s” on the site it’s the ramblings of a crazy person. it’s heavily AI built because he denies over and over that it is.

It does read as a person deep in a psychosis caused by heavy LLM usage. The site itself feels that way too, pretty gross. Yeah, this person needs help.
