IMHO: I hope the cunts in the Danish government that try to force this die of cancer.

    First try: No.
    Second try: No.
Third try, trying to force this through a back door: No.
Fourth try: maybe we can still get away with violating citizen rights, but this time only slightly less. See you next year.

Edit: I want to know who is responsible for this.

        next election cycle.

This is how citizens weed-out toxic resource managers (i.e. politicians).

I’m encouraged every time the good people of the EU redirect their government toward benevolence, and I hope my country can one day join (We have a land border with Denmark and a sea border with France).

I could be wrong, but I don’t think any actual vote has taken place yet, they keep pushing it back as they are expecting it to fail. They want to get all countries on board and then quickly make them vote for it. You can see which way every country is expected to vote on fightchatcontrol.eu

More information here (now due to vote on the 19th of November)

Ah, since the tweet claimed we won I assumed the vote had already went through.

Edit: well “prevented” anyway. So I assumed it didn’t pass and was voted on.

The vote is due to be on the 19th of November.

As things stand, it is believed it will not pass. In which case they will probably postpone it again until they can convince the other countries (mainly Germany) to vote in support of it. Ireland are next to get the EU presidency. And what bunch of arrogant twats in charge there. So they’ll probably try and push it through. The current leader of the party in charge (Taoiseach/Prime minister) is in trouble, but might hold on to the position for the presidency. But even if he doesn’t, the next in line to take his position is probably the current minister for justice - Jim O’Callaghan, who is in favour of it most likely because he doesn’t understand it properly.

So we likely still have another six or seven months at least, of this crap.

Too easy. It’d be like a bad GDPR window, where they make the interface as confusing, slow and painful as possible to deter you.
