When you mock the victims of a school shooting, you’re not criticizing all of American society or system that creates school shooters, you’re just being a reactionary piece of shit, and we have enough of those.
That’s exactly the difference, because that would be focusing on the system victimizing the children, rather than mocking the children themselves for getting shot.
Hell you could genuinely do the children getting shot as a satire of conservatives’ lack of response to school shootings, but that would be mocking conservatives, not the victims.
