The Strait of Hormuz remains open to all shipping except vessels linked to “Iran’s enemies”, Iranian media reports published on Sunday quoted Iran’s representative to the U.N. maritime agency as saying.
Ali Mousavi’s comments came from an interview published on Friday by Chinese news agency Xinhua, before U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat to target Iranian power plants if the strait was not “fully open” within 48 hours.
The threat of Iranian attacks during the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran has kept most ships from getting through the narrow strait, the conduit for around a fifth of global oil and liquefied natural gas supplies, threatening a global energy shock.
Is all this happening because trump brutally raped those girls?
No, the child rape done by the current president is completely incidental
Mainly because he’s too much of a coward to admit it
We’ve effectively put sanctions on ourselves, amazing.
And with the tarrifs he imposed you’re taxing yourselves too!
Trump’s tariffs on the whole world are also effectively self-imposed sanctions on the USA.
Art of the deal
Shart and the heel
P2025 is literally all about bankrupting the USA and selling it to billionaires and enslaving the population.
This is just part of the plan
And then the country collapsing because they are short-sighted as fuck
They really think that all this destruction will be better for them, huh?
It will be. They pay a lot of money to insulate themselves from the only real consequences from these actions. It’s true that capitalists are incapable of longterm planning, but the wealthiest only really have to worry about a potential assailant more than anything else since the economy and legal system is oriented toward their interests. The death cult thing is not a joke, these people think that any level of destruction to the world can’t penetrate a bunker.
Use AI with the help of social media to control us.
Which is just the latest iteration of the 1971 business roundtable that made this long game to seize control.
Art of the deal.
I am so tired of all the winning!
Not just ourselves, anyone that’s an ally.
They’ve mined the strait, so it really is everyone.
Non Western aligned vessels are getting through albeit slowly. Several Asian countries have received deliveries of liquid petroleum gas and China is still getting oil. In fact Iran has said they will let oil tankers through if the oil is purchased in yuan (to undermine the petrodollar).
Reportedly there is a secure channel between the island of Qeshm and Larak that they are using to get these ships through.
There are navigators/guides that board the ships and guide them through safely… at least the ones that are approved. It is a very well-paid position that comes with high fees.
Anyone that mines waters keeps charts to navigate through. Since mines were invented. I remember reading about the Japanese getting the Russian charts in 1911 or whatever around then, to invade the far east, where they wiped out the russian fleet, the arrogant russians not fearing a non white country, despite their astronomic industrialization with the help of european powers, and ingenious finance arraangements building industries with government capital then auctioning them to private industry and using that money to start the next industrialization. The most rapid development of any country ever as I read it.
If the solutions are already invented and for sale and you can see what the opium wars looked like…yeah, they better be as fast as possible.
Hai gai jin.
Ok then explain to me how this Thai vessel was an “enemy-linked” ship: https://www.cnn.com/2026/03/20/middleeast/iran-war-strait-hormuz-thai-sailors-intl-hnk-dst
Edit: non-paywall link https://archive.is/HfLvX
I think that was about a week ago edit: March 11. This announcement is from two days ago
Sure but do you think anyone would risk their lives based on Iran’s word? The strait is effectively closed and shut until orange clown declares his special operation complete.
Whats the alternative? Risk their lives on trumps word that the us has won? Riiighttt…
Yeah I do. Iran closed the strait and ships were told to go through anyway. Now they say it’s open to non hostile states- I think someone will be instructed to try to go through. edit: about 63 ships going to China and India have passed through, 1 going to Pakistan, ships from Greece have docked in Iran and will leave again.
I cannot believe they consider Greek ships non hostile. Greece has been routinely backing Israel because they want it as a geopolitical rival to turkey
Non hostile doesn’t mean friendly.
Greece has one of the largest commercial fleets in the world. Likely the companies connected to these ships made a deal to be able to pass. It could depend on their destination (let’s say it’s Japan) as well.
Maybe because they’re docking for Iranian goods or oil
Was the US bombing random oil tankers in the strait now?
No, but Iran will continue to threaten vessels from crossing. The treat itself will prevent any vessel from attempting, also insurance won’t allow it.
They are not actually chaotic disorganized maniacs, even if thats how many media outlets like to portray them. They know what they are doing and its clearly working.
They’re somewhat organised maniacs but maniacs nevertheless.
Ships have been passing through: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4geg0eeyjeo
Not many, but they are making it through if Iran allows them.
Because where a ship is registered is not where it’s owned. Almost zero ships are registered to the countries that own them.
Looks like a Thai company to me: https://www.preciousshipping.com/en/who-we-are/ (at least all the crew were Thai nationals).
The ownership can be obscured, if Iran hit it, it’s because they got a tip Israel or the US’ dickhead billionaires were involved, and or it was trading with the US. This is fiendishly hard to trace by design.
if Iran hit it, it’s because they got a tip Israel or the US’ dickhead billionaires were involved,
Iran’s proxy the Houthis made a promise to also only hit enemy ships. And then shot at everything that moved - ships were sunk where people could see no connection.
It is quite reasonable to doubt how precise Iran is here…
By that definition, any ship probably has some connection to the US/NATO, which makes their whole point about the Hormuz being open void.
Not at all, chinese, Indian, perhaps even Javan shipping all gets a pass under the Iranians. And anyone else willing to play by their rules. It’s Iran’s straits, they have a right to make the rules on it.
Yeah that’s fair but I think it goes back to my point that no vessel will feel safe operating in the strait at this time (regardless of any promises).
Only way to ensure safe passage is for each trusted nation-state to clear each one of their ships individually in advance with Iran. And even then there’s always the possibility Iranians fire at it by mistake.
I agree, not the least as the US would hit these fuckers and blame Iran if they could, and they can.
The other issue is the insurers won’t touch these vessels at this time, these are expensive ships, 100 million I think, and the orders take several years to fulfill, mostly chinese and east asian shipyards I’ve been informed.
