It’s a joke. Steam deck primary function is as a console, but it is a full fledged PC underneath.
If Sony makes games for the Steam Deck it means for Steam OS or Linux, meaning they would not be playable in Windows, which is probably unrealistic, but the idea is quite humorous IMO.
It was a terrible joke. 99.9% of the games that run on a steam deck are not Linux games, they’re not SteamOS games - they’re Windows games. I don’t think there’s a single “SteamOS” game in existence.

There are no native SteamOS games. There are native Linux games, but those Linux games are not SteamOS-specific. They run on all Linux OS’s.
