    When you buy something, you absolutely do own it.

    Call this phenomenon where corporations try to pretend that it’s only “licensed” or that they somehow have the right to revoke it after the fact what it is: FRAUD and THEFT!

    every company’s really out there deciding “I want to be a landlord instead of selling products to consumers” at the same time

      More profitable, allows for far more control. When you’ve abandoned all morals and everything else for pure maximization of profit, it unfortunately makes a lot of sense.

    the closest thing to digital ownership of any product is through 🏴‍☠️ (plus a few drm free stores)

    any other platform just gives you a license that can be revoked at any time.
