Pizza, pizzahhhhhh!!!
Every salad is a Caesar if you stab it enough.
‘While you have the knives ready, cut the baby out of my stomach…’
“I really like the color orange, too …”
Actually there were plenty of other Caesars the salad could have been named after.
In fact, it’s named after another guy. I think it was an Italian immigrant to the US or something, look it up if you dare to.
He had his restaurant in Tijuana, Mexico, so the salad is technically Mexican 😅
I was almost kind of close, at least a little
No. They are all the same guy.
Even elon isn’t getting stabbed, imagine how awful Caesar must have been…
Caesar is hard to compare with people today. He was an elite but was also different from them. Like he was incredibly popular with the military because, in addition to being a respected commander who led his legions to success, he also took the controversial position of “hey maybe we should honour the promises we made to those who signed up to fight for our former republic rather than use beaurocracy and the Senate to weasel out of it and fuck them over”, which was very unpopular with the wealthy landowners that either wanted the land themselves or just didn’t want more competition.
The assassins complained about the dictatorship becoming permanent but I think it was the land thing that really drove them because Augustus continued on to become the actual first emperor of Rome (and also ended up pushing through Caesar’s land distribution reforms once he secured his power anyways, though that could have just been pragmatic for both of them, since an unhappy military is how Caesar was able to do his coup in the first place).
Elon has more money.
Crassus was the one with money who gave it to Caesar. Crassus was not stabbed, I think he was stabbing Caesar too.
Also name ripping a baby directly out of a uterus after me. I know that sounds weird, but I’ve thought about this a lot guys, and it’s important to me. So that and the salad ok? Alright now I’m going to say something in French before I die. It just sounds cooler that way.
ripping a baby directly out of a uterus
Its ironic to describe this procedure like that when it’s actually much less violent and traumatic for parent and baby than the natural method.
Bone jaw, marshy book hoop.
Fun fact, it’s not actually named after Julius Caesar. It’s a “say-sar” salad and was invented in Tijuana Mexico.
Not really.
It’s actually the English “Caesar”. The founders of the OG bar & recipe were Italian but Tijuana has always been a bilingual town, so instead of the Italian Cesare or the Spanish César the official name is literally just the English version.
Now, the Latin <ˈkae̯sar> is absolutely the origin of the Italian Cesare with such a well documented evolution that for our purposes it is the same name but with a modernized pronunciation. In Italy (& Mexico’s César) the name made a huge comeback in the XX century but we cannot deny that is Julius (and their tyrannical parasocial followers) who made his cogname as famous as it is.
But that’s not here nor there.
la historia (story, not history)
Eso me dio mucha risa. Mi esposa y yo hablamos los dos también, y me gusta mucho decir cosas como “lavar las manos con sopa”, por ejemplo, o “ella se sintió embarazada”.
Coloreame sorprendido 🤭
O también de aquí pa’ allá con “what fart” (Qué pedo) “edge to the edge” (orillese a la orilla)
😂
Y no puedo pronunciar “perrito” entonces nuestros perros son “peditos”.
Adding that one to my list, she’s now “mi pedita”

¡Que preciosa! 🤩 Tenemos dos chiahuahuas.
I forgot but another thing that drives my wife crazy is when she says “¿sabes qué?” and I always respond “¿qué sabo?”
CBS Sunday Morning lied to me then.
i like turtles

Sorry, that’s for Caesar Cardini. But here, have the worst drink in history.

Excuse me the Caesar is the greatest cocktail ever to be made. A true pinnacle of Canadian ingenuity.
I’m not a drinker, but based on what’s in that I would at least try it.
How dare you insult the Bloody Mary. Don’t go into the bathroom with the lights off. She’s coming for you
It is similar to a Bloody Mary, but is distinguished by the clam broth content of the Clamato.
So like a Bloody Mary, but even worse
Clamato

Wait. Isn’t that basically a bloody Mary? Those are delicious.
Stopped drinking 8 years ago
Still one I miss most is a great morning after Bloody Mary.
That’s a Caesar drink, made with Clamato(blue band on the container in the back), the Clam is what’s devisive between people. It’s Canadian creation, that could partly be why Americans don’t like it.
Ahh…well okay then
Never tried one, never heard of it
Vodka, Clamato, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lime the rim, salt the rim, and add a stick of celery to stir.
This sounds so grim to me. 😄
It’s basically a Bloody Mary with fixings, nothing too strange about it.
Swap the voddy for a beer and that’s a michelada no?
Pretty sure that’s just straight 50/50 beer and a Bloody Caesar, could be made with virgin too though.
Man, I love a Bloody Mary. But a really good Virgin Mary is still glorious.
Keep taking it day by day, brother or sister.
I’m not eating a Trump salad, no matter how many times he gets stabbed. Unless he’s stabbed like ten times. Then maybe. Or twenty. Then for sure. Let me know how many times he gets stabbed and I’ll let you know if I want salad.

I might also eat a Miller salad if it were the right occasion.
Have you tried one? It’s pretty good. It’s got mini pickles, mini wieners, hush money puppies, some and Im peaches topped with saffron and gold flakes. It’s what they serve at the grand estoria hotel to any guest who says “pardon” about themselves.
Caesar was so synonymous with emperor, they had to change the pronunciation of a letter to differentiate Caesar and Kaiser
But Kaiser means emperor. Caesar was pronounced with a hard k during Caesar’s time. So Kaiser is closer to the original pronunciation since that word comes from Caesar.
No but Kaiser is in fact closer to the pronunciation at his lifetime. Latin went through some natural sound shifts that affected all words equally and borrowing into English added some more so that’s how we arrive at the modern English pronunciation. The Russian word tsar also goes back to Caesar. tHeY didn’t do anything.
The proper way to eat a Caesar Salad is to have 60 people take turns stabbing it with a fork.
Proper way is with chopsticks and I’ll die on that hill.
Too soon
Peter Cullen, Patrick Stewart and Julius Caesar?
