His behaviour sure doesn’t help.

Trump will be the most hated; and this makes him an ideal President for his financial enablers.

Trump made Bezos, Gates, Musk, et al ridiculously happy. He’s easy to manipulate, greedy, serves their interests… and best of all, he acts as magnificent misdirection and takes a lot of blame for things he’s really too dumb to have anything to do with.

Around the world, people will sigh with relief when he’s dead… but those who financed and empowered him will be untouched and unacknowledged for the most part.

For just one example, Deutsch Bank.

That entire worldwide system of billionaires and financiers will remain, and continue to bring ruin

I think W Bush painted the world black and white when there is nuance. You’re either with us against us. Started two very unpopular wars and dragged Nato members in. Caused mass immigration to Europe from leading to the raise of people like Bannon, Trump and Farage. The entire far right really. For me, Bush was the catalyst that led us to where we are right now and is the worse president. But even I think I am wrong cause my memory doesn’t go back much further.

And worse of all. Bush didn’t even win. Roger Stone literally stormed the recount, Bushes brother shut the count down and the supreme court went cool, cool, cool. Been hating ever since the shocking lack of democracy in America. And the fact that some anti abortion Gun nut in some swing state determines how many of my friends will die in wars, how much petrol will cost and how much food will cost due to sheer greed of the owner class in America.

So for me. Bush 2. Trump just let the world see the corruption in day light where the others kept it in the dark.

its not a contest and its pointless to think otherwise. Anyone who thinks positively of either is an uneducated degenerate dumbass who should never vote in any election until they completely update their worldview at best

He was the worst at the time but Trump is far worse. Trump’s corruption is unprecedented. Reagan would be called a communist if he ran today. Reagan’s answer to Americans complaining about illegal immigration was amnesty and legal permanent residency for all.

I don’t think so, just because his rich friends are doing everything they can to manipulate masses to like him and protect him. Those loyal to him also will die being loyal to him. As he said, he could shot someone cold blood and not lose voters.

Truman’s 22% approval rating is also hard to beat, even though history has looked more fondly on him.

I think when future history books are written about the downfall of America they’ll be entire chapters dedicated to his contribution to the collapse.

Some presidents have arguably done worse things than Trump (so far), but I’m not sure if they were more hated at the time. Trump has probably done more damage to the institutions of the US than any other president in history; which will probably result in a new dark era.

In a contemporary sense or in a historical sense?

Obviously the latter is virtually impossible to determine but I suspect he’ll be somewhere in the top 5.

Just as obviously he’s #1 in a contemporary sense. There is a lot of hate for Obama from people who swear they aren’t racist, but moderates and Democrats like/love him. I feel like Biden is universally slightly disliked. I think Bush Jr. is similar. Clinton’s probably between slightly disliked and slightly liked.

Trump, on the other hand, is between vilified and slightly disliked recently (thanks to the Iran War and the Epstein Files). Sure, lots of people pretend to like or love him in public, but I think that’s usually performative to align with political allies as you’re virtually obligated to do under authoritarian rule. Just look at how few MAGAs turned out for America’s 250th. They just aren’t enthusiastic about him any more.

Yes, worst president in the history of the United States. Policy decisions that are actively sabotaging the future of the next generation.

Without question – at the rate we’re going he may be the last.

GWB may have millions of lives to his name, and the damage he did to Iraq and our norms is unimaginable – but Trump is actively destroying our institutions, norms, and our espirit de corps. And I am certain when the truth about these ICE camps is revelated – there will be bodies lined to the ceiling. He’s killing OUR country, democracy, and the future.

He is beyond any salvation, and frankly, a fair trial for his crimes.
