I frequently get men pressuring me to forgo condoms. One of the excuses is “I’m in the military and they test us.”
Is that true? How regular is the testing?
Anyone pressuring to forgo a condom is not someone worth being with imo.
They’re basically saying their pleasure is more important than your safety.
Yeah, I’m snipped and regularly tested and would never pressure someone to forgo a condom. Always the default.
Using a condom helps prevent passing on STI’s, why would not wearing one help this situation?
Also, anyone who tries to pressure you into doing something like this is a piece of shit and you should run 200 miles the other way.
Absolutely. Somebody trying to insist they dont need a condom is definitely the kind of person you need to wear a condom with.

Get yourself tested. Now.
I didn’t sleep with the guy, the push back on condoms is a no because it’s rape-y vibes to try to argue with my boundaries. I was just curious if he was full of shit as well as being pushy.
I test regularly. Last everything test was June, but I did HIV self check in July.
That’s relieving to know. I’m glad you’re good!
Does it really matter? Testing isn’t prevention.
It’s about the risk profile. STD risk will never be zero, so I like to weigh the risk versus fun. Any specific guy who’s pushing back against condoms gets a “no” because pushy behavior = rapey behavior, but if the military tests monthly or something, that’s useful information.
A monthly test won’t help when they picked something up last week.
Or just lie about the results…

Whenever somebody says they don’t need/want a condom, that’s when you need one the most. Or just deny them entirely. Because it means they’re doing the same with others, which means the ‘no condom’ people have higher than normal STD risk.
As a sample size of one: I spent 21 years in the military and don’t recall ever being tested for any STD besides HIV. HIV is a yearly test for everyone. Maybe others had different experiences.
I agree with others though in that if you want to use a condom, they should respect that.
Surprised they don’t do the consonant Hepatitises too. Maybe they do now if you’ve been out for a bit.
Not often enough, military bases are STD playgrounds.
No. The military does not regularly test for STDs unless the soldier asks for medical treatment and complains of STD symptoms.
The entrance test will screen for serious ones like HIV, but that’s only done once, and it doesn’t screen for all STDs.
Which military?
United States
What proof is that of anything unless they show you the results, and the date, and it was dated exactly right before you started fucking?
I took the SATs. Just assume I scored well and went to college.
This probably depends on the country the military is from. But don’t trust it either way they can always have picked something up since the last test, even if it was yesterday.
Dude no do not do that - Assuming this is in the US (true also for most NATO countries), the only mandatory STD screening is a yearly test for HIV, everything else is voluntary and there is no public disclosure. Unless you trust them enough to be sure they’re not lying, condoms + PrEP are a must.
Username very much matching the question!
They’ll start now because they need to inject their soldiers with Pfizer approved “testosterone” going forward. This is not a vaccine. I repeat, this is not a vaccine.
