Misinformation. There’s literally Israeli Kinesset members that oppose the genocide in Gaza and the war with Iran. They are the minority, but they do exist.
Not to mention the Israeli citizens refusing to enlist in the military, who are sent to prison.
The fact that it’s a minority means that the article is barely exaggerating. If they slapped the word majority or major majority infront of their statements and it made it accurate then you can’t even call them a liar.

“The entire political spectrum” doesn’t mean “every single person ever,” or even “every single politician ever.” The implication is only that the statement applies to all political segments of the population. If the left, right and center (and any other significant political blocs) mostly agree on something, then the whole political spectrum supports it, even if some people don’t.
That’s literally not what it means.
There is people that oppose it. there is politicians that oppose it. The entire political spectrum isn’t discrete. It’s a spectrum. That’s literally what a spectrum means.
I was inclined to agree with you but he has a point. The entire spectrum supports it, not everybody in said spectrum needs to support it for the statement to be true.

The poll they cite only polled 500 people and the “Israel Democracy Institute” who conducted the poll was founded by a Trump mega donor.
Mondoweiss loses credibility by releasing this article without pointing out the obvious polling issue.
They also failed to shout out the organizations that have been protesting daily against the war! Standing Together עומדים ביחד has been organizing protests since day one of the operation.
Mondoweiss is showing itself as an unfair propagandist publication who is more interested in clicks and spicy headlines than actually giving a real picture.

Which is more than enough. Statistically, you only need 30 or so samples to get a normal distribution, at which case the error varies with 1/sqrt(n) for sample size n. This means that if a sample size of 8000 would only have 4 times less error (so from 4% to 2%) compared to one of 500. The mathematics of the thing is ironclad: Provided the sample is representative (i.e. doesn’t unfairly over or underrepresent a particular group) and exceeds the mid-double digits*, any issues with sample size would manifest as a large calculated error.
Founded and funded by people and orgs that have a vested interest in this conflict. Like the heritage foundation polling for gay marriage.

and the institute that did the polling was founded and funded by a Trump mega donor.
“Trump Institute Finds Broad Support For Trump’s War Exactly Where They Left It” fixed the headline.
93% with a 5% error margin is overwhelmingly close to 100%.
I’d say the editor was pretty fair in the phrasing.

Israel really blows my mind. Pro or Anti Netanyanhu supporters still want to kill Arabs. Seeing interviews and social media pics of just regular Israelis casually wishing death is still so jarring to me.
To be “fair” to hard-line settler types, the mood of the world is swinging so strongly against them and their regime, this might be the very last time they have a chance to get what they want.
Hopefully, they’ll never find a world again that is as complacent as it is now.
The settlements are built by the state of israel and armed and protected by the idf. Netenyahu approve those settlements yet countries still sells weapons to them and has no economical sanctions on the state itself. I understand the hate in the comments, but I think the important part is something else, How can the world deal with a country that only wants to commit genocide with all its neighbors? and not the government, the population in general. What can we do with this? How do we get out of the cycle of violence with people like this?
It’s pretty easy actually.
Israel’s economy is dependent on US funding. If the US stopped sending them money, they couldn’t commit genocide and also the economy would crash…leading to mass migration out of the country.
Echoing basically all other replies: Israel doesn’t actually have the juice to get their lebensraum alone; they need all sorts of American and European support for it. Cutting off their support would immediately destroy their position as regional near-hegemon and force them to compromise.

Countries should keep imposing economical sanctions on Israel till they start dismentling settlements and lift the blockade on Gaza in exchange Hamas has to disarm and organize elections. If hamas refuse countries should be arming the PA instead of israel and allow them to take down Hamas . If israel refuse countries should keep sanctionning israel and allow PA to get rid of settlers and defend itself against Israel
Not supporting and helping their fascists government and leaders would be a good start and would solve most of the problems.
Denazification of Germany after WW2 is a good example.

German “denazification” first required complete military defeat and occupation of the German state, that’s not really practical to achieve when the country to be occupied has the option to devastate whatever country it’s fighting as a deterrent/revenge once it concludes defeat is inevitable. As such, what is needed here I think is examples of how to defuse such a situation and push a population away from violence purely through limited conflict, economic pressure, sponsorship of internal dissent, etc
Its possible, just very expensive. A complete blockade for a decade or two would be a good start. They dont have the resources there to be self sufficient.
It would be a good start but as long as the US supports them they’ll remain sufficient enough that their ruling class can enjoy their standard of living. It’d be the same as turning the US into a pariah, only the poorest would suffer. Might get some of them to flip on their support for the regime since the consequences hit home, but both regimes are self-sufficient and no longer need the support of the people to maintain power. The wealth class in the US could survive a long blockade on the resources available there, natural and human, if cut off from it’s ability to outsource exploitation.
The real cost to dislodge these regimes is going to be money and blood, because they will not give up their power without a fight externally or internally. We got rid of Trump once and he unleashed his supporters on the Capitol, they’d vote/fight for the same thing the next time they got a chance. Same in Israel. It’s probably going to take a combination of external powers leveraging their global economic influence, apply military force, and coordinating with internal opposition to oust the central powers, then stick around and help what can be scavenged of the resistance to build new infrastructure and help prevent the Lost Causers from creeping back in to positions of influence and power.
